Josh Frost
President
Sketchbook/Blog

Born in Seattle, WA, I have always been a sucker for a good cartoon. Ever since I was a young lad my dream was to work at the empire known as Disney. Finally getting that chance in 2005, I worked for the Disney enterprise for two years before I decided to go seasonal and leave to pursue my newfound dream of starting my own animation house. In Oct. 2007 the first words were spoken about Frosty Giant Productions. Since then, our team has grown and our talent is rising. Frosty Giant Productions will soon be like a typhoon in the animation industry, so get on board and ride the wave!View Josh Frost's profile on LinkedIn

Gerald de Dios
Art Director/ Story Artist/ Illustrator/ Colorist/ VFX Flash Animator
View Sketchbook

A Northern California native, Gerald rocked a mean rice-bowl haircut and grew up on 80's cartoons, large bowls of cereal and a pencil at hand. His biggest influences were Walt Disney, Hanna Barberra and Charles Shultz. Knowing that his rice-bowl haircut was no longer in style, he soon became interested in commercial arts and enrolled into the Graphic Design program at CSU. Comics, films and cartoons were still heavy influences in Gerald's art, so he continued his schooling at the Art Institute of Seattle, where he gained a degree in Animation Art & Design. He landed a production assistant job out of college for a Seattle animation studio and later took that experience to San Francisco, where he worked on the "Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End" production team. Gerald is currently freelancing as an illustrator in the Bay Area and looks forward to working on more cool projects.

Derek Blair
Sr. Animator/ Background Designer/ Layout Designer

When you think of Derek Blair you just think, "This is a happy guy." Growing up in Centralia and Olympia, WA there wasn't a whole lot to do. In order to entertain himself, Derek started drawing at a young age, and at the age of 11 decided that he wanted to be an animator. He became obsessed with Disney greats like Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston, Milt Kahl, and his personal hero, Glen Keane. Luckily, he was blessed with wonderful parents who realized his passion and did everything they could to further that passion. At age 13, after his family got a decent computer, he started to teach himself HTML and mess around with a copy of Photoshop 4.0 that he had stumbled upon. The rest is history. Derek knew at an early age, that success in life with his art would first start with a traditional background, and be enhanced with the technology available. At age 21, he finally entered art school, already having a leap over the competition. Currently in his final year as an Animation major, he is a well-rounded animator, concept artist, web/graphic designer, and 3D generalist. With his superb art skills and his technical knowledge with the computer, Derek Blair is one of the top animators in the field today. He will take on any task with no exception, making him one of the most valued members of the Frosty Giant Team.

Jamie Simmons
Composer/ Audio Engineer/ Sound Effects Artist

Jamie can get sounds out of anything laying around. Look over there to the right, see that? He could make sound effects with it. Jamie has been recording since 2000 when he used to DJ. He has since put together SilverBox Studios. An amazing, avant-garde, but fully operational recording studio... sort of like the Death Star. Foley, full surround effects, film scores, and heavy, synth-filled, guitar-laden dance rock tracks are his forte. He is also quite an animation writer, writing for the project he co-created with Derek Blair, Proto-Leviathan! Jamie also writes and records under the name Proto-Leviathan as a one-man band, playing all the instruments and doing all of the vocals himself. Proto-Leviathan was voted as one of the top 10 bands of 2007 in the Seattle area out of over 300 entries by A&R Connections, a major-label artist recruitment company in LA.

Johnny Eng
Sr. 3D Animator/ Modeler/ Texture Artist

Anthony Thomas
Sr. Lighting Director/ Rendering Manager/ 3D modeler/ Unwrap master

I'm a freelancing CG Artist. My mindset is primarily on Lighting and Rendering, but I enjoy learning new skills to better my artwork within 3D. I'm a huge fan of communication and working with teams to juggle around Ideas in order to fulfill big projects. I love and respect all views and styles of art. I was raised in Grand Junction Colorado, and grew up there mainly. I’ve always been into drawing; High school was when I took it seriously. It was the Night crawler scene in x-men 2 that really got me thinking about visual effects, and lighting and rendering. From there on I decided to go to school to learn the trade and have never looked back since!
